Q: What are the different styles of hearing aids?
A: There are two categories of hearing aid styles, Custom and Behind-the-Ear (BTE). Within these two categories are variations of style.
Custom hearing aids are made specifically to fit the shape of your ears. The Audiologist will make an impression of your ears, send it to the manufacturer, and in two weeks your hearing aids will be in our office ready for programming.
Behind-the-Ear (BTE) hearing aids sit behind the ear, and have different tubing, and ear piece options. Your Audiologist will discuss with you which would be appropriate based on your hearing loss. Learn More »
